Fun Fact
With a father in the military, I was born in Washington D.C., and afterwards we moved to San Antonio and then to Germany for two years, before moving to the Houston area. During college, I married and relocated to North Texas with my first husband, and we became young parents. I was able to focus on spending time with my son while completing college, and to later begin a career in teaching where I taught high school art and English, and then moved to teaching middle school art and English. I was blessed to meet and marry my second husband, and also to pursue a Master’s degree in School Counseling so that I could help address social-emotional needs as well as provide academic guidance and interventions for at-risk youth. There, I realized my passion for working in-depth with individuals struggling with various mental health concerns and life difficulites, and truly enjoyed working in non-profits and private counseling group practices while completing my Master’s in Professional Counseling and attaining the clinical hours for full licensure. Finally, I was able to realize the dream of opening my own counseling practice, Hope Dynamics Counseling, in 2022, to serve the needs of the North Texas community. I consider each day a priviledge, working with such amazing clients to help them find renewed hope, insight, and strength.
Outside of my counseling practice, I enjoy painting and home decor projects, gardening, taking walks, going to movies and concerts, reading, singing, working crossword puzzles, playing with our pooches Percy and Max, and spending time with family and friends.
